Black Swan Bridal Studio

As we near the grand unveiling of another project we have been working on, I wanted to share a little bit of our story bringing to life the beautiful new Bridal Studio in Wallingford, Black Swan, an independent bridal studio that caters to the confident, edgy, modern bride who was born to stand out in a world of pink, diamantes and frills.

Black Swan offers an array of alternative wedding dresses and accessories, designers stocked include Temperley Bridal, Gemy Maalouf, Karen Willis Holmes and Lindsay Marie Accessories… these are the types of exclusive high end names you can expect to see when perusing the rails of our lovely client; Chloe Jeffs’, new venture.

Based in the picturesque setting of Wallingford in Oxford, Black Swan will be opening shop this September and attracting the non traditional brides to be of the area. The studio itself is on the river with balconies overlooking the Thames, it’s not your typical bridal boutique, you can sense that from the minute you walk in and see the set up.

The owner, Chloe, enlisted Strength+Honour to come up with the Brand Identity and create the stunning website www.blackswanbridalstudio.co.uk. The route we took to get to where we are now included various focus groups we held to get inside the minds of past, present and future local brides. It was our opportunity to make sure we were creating a brand which stood out in an already booming industry. A few glasses of prosecco and some nibbles meant the women could relax and help us understand the true thoughts and feelings around the lead up to a wedding and the experiences they were going through or had already gone through when preparing for their own big day. As everyone knows though, it’s all about getting the perfect dress.

Chloe and her Account Manager, Fern, took an afternoon to go visit Fawley Hill to have a peek at the ultimate avant-garde wedding venue. The time spent there included a personal tour of the grounds and park with Sir William McAlpine on one of their very cool Ranger Crew vehicles. They have somewhere in the region of 20 varieties of species there in their ‘accidental animal sanctuary’ which sits alongside an actual railway station which was sliced up and transported to the equivalent of their front garden, all the way from Somersham. Fawley Hill is such a unique and beautiful place, a real ‘you have to see it to believe it’ venue. Link to their website here http://fawleyhill.co.uk/.

Chloe is officially opening her doors next month and has already received bookings to come and ‘say yes to the dress’. If you or anyone you know is planning a wedding be sure to go and check Black Swan Bridal Studio out.
